About Me

Audrey South, CSW

p s y c h o c t h e r a p i s t Since a young child I have been curious towards life and the aspects that surround living.  With a love for creating, understanding, and compassion I was eventually led to psychotherapy.  Although my journey here was gained through explorations of myself, it is those very experiences that created who I am personally and professionally. I have loved art and drawing, creating and designing.  I was fortunate to be able to use these artistic skills along with my organizational and problem-solving skills with careers in culinary arts, event coordination, and business management.  I loved what I did, but there was a turning point in my life where I needed to begin my next journey into the field of mental health.  And I embarked upon my new quest with fascination for the human mind and the human experience.

Professional essentials

I received education in psychology before completing my Masters of Social Work at the University of Utah in 2016.  I’ve completed practicums at both Wasatch Mental Health and The Counseling Center, gaining both insight and experience.  Since graduation I have continued with clients at The Counseling Center and have worked with substance abuse assessments at The University of Utah. My passion is working with individuals in making a difference in living and I am always expanding my knowledge and understanding to guide my clients.  I love to create a place of healing for the soul.

Personal morsels

I am blessed to have two beautiful children, who are the loves of my life and keep me learning.  I enjoy experiencing culture and events, as well as time with friends and family.  I enjoy time to create and make things more beautiful than I found them, which I find relaxing and revitalizing.  Life is beautiful, be in the moment.  I have my own challenges, which I am continually working through and growing from.
